Home Made Oven Baked Bread

Nothing more delicious than home made bread! This recipe is for oven cooked bread, but you could use a bread maker too. Here i make rye bread, but you could substitute the 200g of rye flour for wholemeal flour, add seeds/oats/nuts/raisins/cheese, whatever type of bread you want to make!

Ingredients:
800g of baker's flour
200g of rye flour
1 tablespoon of dried yeast (or the sachets)
2 teaspoons of salt
600mls of lukewarm water
Around 2 tablespoons of olive oil

Method:
1. Carefully mix all ingredients with a wooden spoon. Place on floured bench and kneed for around 15 mins or until smooth and elastic (can use big electric mixer if you have one too)
2. Place back in bowl and put damp tea towel over it. Let it rise for 3-4 hours or until double its original size.
3. Carefully push dough back using a wooden spoon (not too much) and let rise again.
4. Carefully take dough out of bowl and divide into 2 loaves (or you can have one large one) Put tea towel over again and let rise
5. Pre heat oven to 210 degrees, and place empty tray in for 5-10 mins to heat. Take trays out and put loaves on. Spray insides of oven with a bit of water to keep bread moist.
6. Bake bread for around 30 mins, or until it sounds hollow when the bottom is tapped. Remove and let cool down! And of course test some nice warm bread :p
